Siegel says that instead of referring patients to other medical professionals who can provide long-term care and solutions, primary care physicians turn to blanketing the problem with the use of these drugs. This is causing what is now being referred to the &#8220;Opioid Epidemic&#8221;. In the segment, Siegel was asked, if&nbsp;alternatives were available to the population which&nbsp;struggles with back pain. In his response, Siegel highlights chiropractic care &nbsp;as a safer approach than prescription painkillers for managing pain:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><em>&#8220;Absolutely&#8230;there&#8217;s physical therapy, there&#8217;s heat, there&#8217;s chiropractic&#8230;[spinal] manipulations.
